Dave Demski...
Raised in rolling green hills and back woods of Maryland, Dave was a Nintendo generation kid who dreamed of computers doing things, long before they actually could do them. What began as childhood play evolved into full-time preoccupation with emerging 80s technology and its potential impact upon society. Knowing he'd need a way to pay the rent, he put himself through college and then law school. Dave worked hard, played hard, and questioned everything. If he was going to be an attorney, he wanted to be one of those lawyers who actually helped people. Soon after admission to the Maryland Bar, this tech-savvy attorney found himself managing one of the largest public self-help legal web sites in the country. Serving as Director of Law & Technology for a respected Maryland non-profit, Dave still finds time to start events that have grown to traditions, compose digital music, weld steel furniture, paint, and manage Monsterbyte which he cofounded with Geoffrey.
Geoffrey Mathews...
This rural Virginia kid was also raised on Nintendo. He would disassemble his toys to see how they worked and then reassemble them to work better, or harvest the parts for new creations. His radio-controlled airplane learned to walk before it could fly. Geoffrey's path led him to Paris, Tucson, art school and a passion for great design. To pay his rent, Geoffrey built high performance workstations and servers while running a successful sign company for five years. His computer networking skills led him to fiber optic communications and engineering and a return to school to finish his BS in electrical engineering. In his spare time he builds triode amplifiers, designs loudspeakers, composes music, and develops web applications that work.

Late one evening, Dave and Geoffrey bumped into each other along the cobblestones of Fells Point in Baltimore. After much talk about the meaning of life, a generous amount of distilled spirits, and one of them taking an impromptu dive into the harbor, they solved most of the worlds problems. They discovered that they share numerous interests, including a passion for empowering people and organizations to see the world not as it is, but as it could be. With monstrous appetites, an enduring friendship and Monsterbyte were born.
